It happened just a few days after Jamal Edwards, the British entrepreneur that played a major role in the remix, passed away at age 31.

Peru (Remix) by Fireboy & Ed Sheeran made it to the top 40 because it was a hit song everyone wants have a feel of the sensation that comes along with the tune.

“No coincidence. Thank you, Jamal, still blessing us from above,” wrote Eze Ezegozie, the head of EMPIRE Africa, to which Fireboy is signed, on his Instagram page.
