Omah Lay spoke up about depression
Omah Lay’s debut album ‘Boy Alone’ has had many people in their feels and the singer himself has now let us in on the wave of depression that inspired the project.

Port-Harcourt new-age sensation singer, Omah Lay has opened up about the wave of depression that inspired his debut album, Boy Alone.
The star who’s shown himself to be a fan of the Bluebird social platform, Twitter, spilled his heart in a tweet detailing the emotions that had given birth to his first studio album. According to the singer, he was mentally in a bad place and wanted to take his life.
Omah Lay said;
“Boy Alone might be the last time y’all will hear me cry on a song, On G I was dead ass down, insecure, scared, depressed, loosing my mind like I was literally gonna kill myself.”
He also spoke on feeling lost saying;
“I felt like I lost it until After I finished recording Boy Alone, I listened to myself and realized I’m one of the hardest shittt African music have ever seen!!”
The singer who’d stated earlier that he was in a mood to speak from his heart also spoke on getting heartbroken and feeling doubted by people he looked up to.
