Nollywood actor and popular comedian, Baba Ijesha bags 16-year imprisonment for sexual assault

Olanrewaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha to 16-year-imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of an Ikeja Special Offences Court has sentenced the embattled Nollywood actor and comedian, Olanrewaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha to 16-year-imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.

This is coming barely a year after the Nollywood star was arrested and prosecuted for sexually assaulting a minor.

Baba Ijesha sentenced to 16 years imprisonment

Justice Taiwo in a two-hour judgement on Thursday, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.

Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of counts one and count six, which were: sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.

He was thereby sentenced to 16 years imprisonment.
