Nigerian Entertainment News: Yul Edochie Criticized on Social Media for Weighing in on Psquare’s Latest Dispute
Yul Edochie, a prominent and often controversial Nollywood actor, has become part of the growing number of Nigerians reacting to the ongoing rift between the Psquare siblings—Peter, Paul, and Jude Okoye
Peter Okoye has accused his twin brother, Paul, of disrespecting his wife and family, claiming sole ownership of songs they both created, and minimizing his contribution to the group’s success.
The situation escalated when Peter dropped a bombshell about Northside Music, revealing that the label is secretly owned by their elder brother Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
Yul Edochie added fuel to the fire with a provocative comment, stirring even more public attention as the drama surrounding this family saga continues to unfold.
He addressed those calling for reconciliation between the brothers, suggesting that sometimes the only path to peace is through creating distance, even from one’s own family.
He wrote in part;
“Sometime peace comes from staying apart, sometime even family members have to be blocked to achieve peace. Sometimes you just have to relate with people from distance to have peace”
“I see people say Rudeboy go & make peace with your brother, Mr P go & make peace with your brother, I just laugh.
Many people still don’t understand what life is about.
Sometimes real peace comes from staying apart.
Sometimes even some family members have to be blocked to achieve peace.
Sometimes you just have to relate with people from a distance to have peace.
Trying to be close will kill you.
Life is short, especially for men.
Small thing man don fall. Too much stress.
That’s why we have many widows everywhere.
So you have to be intentional about your life.
And life na per head.
Block anybody that needs to be blocked so you can have peace. Don’t look back.
Fight for your yourself. Stay alive. it’s good to see Psquare together. But if they have to stay apart to be happy and alive for us, let them stay apart.
We love them regardless.”
In his candid comment, Yul emphasized the key importance of peace in a man’s life, courageously declaring that the absence of peace is a driving factor behind why we see more widows than widowers.
His comment ignited a firestorm of reactions, with a torrent of scathing criticisms from many and a few voices of support. Some derisively labeled Yul as utterly unqualified to dispense advice, given his own messy separation from wife May Edochie, and didn’t hold back from hurling scornful and derogatory epithets his way.
