Nigerian Entertainment News: “Why I am Longer Close to Eniola Badmus & Others” – Funke Akindele Discusses Her Changing Relationships with Eniola Badmus and Others
Funke Akindele, a prominent Nollywood actress and filmmaker, is opening up about her professional connections and her relationships with colleagues like Eniola Badmus. Here’s what Funke shared
During an interview with Arise TV, Funke Akindele was asked,
“How have you managed friendships and relationships? Do you still have the same friends from before you became the famous Funke Akindele? Success brings challenges like jealousy, betrayal, and backstabbing. Have you experienced any of these?”
Funke responded:
FUNKE AKINDELE:
“Friendship? I consider my siblings my friends. They are my closest companions. I have acquaintances and people I’m friendly with, but not deep friendships. I’m always busy working. When I’m not working, I’m either sleeping, spending time with my kids, watching a movie, or hanging out with my family.
“I enjoy being in my own space. I’m not fond of parties; I’m not a party person. I own a studio where we shoot projects annually, and we have content on YouTube, in theaters, and on streaming platforms. I’m quite occupied.
“So, I focus on my work and my children because I need to make time for them. When I’m not working, I’m with my kids, in my own space.
“I have good relationships with people in the industry. I enjoy collaborating with specific individuals. I work with all my colleagues, but there are a few who are very dear to me. I have a group I call my crew, and I maintain good connections with all my coworkers.”
Funke Akindele also provided an update on her relationship with Eniola Badmus, with whom she was once very close. “Eniola Badmus makes me laugh. She cracks me up so much. I really enjoy spending time with her. However, we have both been extremely busy with our lives. Everyone is focused on their own path. But I’m still on good terms with her and everyone else.”
“Cordial,” it seems they aren’t as close anymore due to work and life commitments, which is unfortunately how many adult friendships evolve. But what are your thoughts?
