In another segment of his conversation with the Breakfast Club, Rema shared his feelings after receiving his first fifty million naira.

Rema reflected on the hardships he endured on the streets, stating he remained calm after receiving his first significant paycheck as an up-and-coming artist.

Rather than splurging on himself, he decided to buy a car for his mother and a musical instrument for a church.

“When I made my first 50 million I was not fret. I got my mum a car and I bought instrument for the church,”

Rema said.

The singer remembered the tough times he faced after the loss of his father and older brother.

Omo Anifowose notes that Rema contributed millions to a church in Benin following his homecoming concert.
