Nigerian Entertainment News: VeryDarkMan Set to Face the Nigerian House of Representatives Today
VeryDarkMan is expected to appear before the Nigerian House of Representatives today over allegations of bribery connected to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
The controversy stems from an audio clip shared by VeryDarkMan, where Bobrisky, a well-known crossdresser, allegedly claimed to have bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to drop a money laundering case against him.
In the purported recording, Bobrisky also revealed that he avoided serving a six-month sentence at Kirikiri Prison in Lagos, thanks to his godfather, who allegedly arranged for him to stay in a facility instead of being incarcerated.
In response to these serious claims, the House of Representatives has summoned VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky, and the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, as part of a thorough investigation into the matter.
Deji Adeyanju, legal counsel for VeryDarkMan, confirmed that his client will attend the National Assembly Investigative Panel to help clarify the scandal involving Bobrisky, the EFCC, and officials from the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Adeyanju wrote:
“We will be at the National Assembly tomorrow with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he/she paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment.”
