Nigerian Entertainment News: Verydarkman Appeals to Burna Boy for Speed Darlington’s Release
Popular social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VDM, has weighed in on the legal battle surrounding singer Speed Darlington, following concerns raised by his lawyer
According to a report by Omo Anifowose, legal representative Stan Alieke expressed frustration over Speed Darlington’s prolonged detention, highlighting that the artist has been held for over a week without being granted bail.
In a video shared by the TikToker, VDM called out the injustice of detaining Darlington for such a long period without providing a bail option, describing it as an abuse of power by law enforcement.
The activist appealed to Burna Boy, urging him to escalate the case to court if he is indeed involved. VDM advised that Burna Boy should take legal steps to recover any losses from Darlington.
However, VDM didn’t shy away from condemning Darlington’s actions, particularly his remarks involving Burna Boy’s mother. He stressed the importance of respecting mothers, stating that he holds his own mother in high regard.
VDM also criticized Nigeria’s legal system, labeling it as chaotic and riddled with corruption.
He alleged that bribery often influences court outcomes, leaving justice unattainable for many. Drawing from his own experience of being detained without bail, he empathized with innocent individuals languishing in prison for extended periods due to systemic failures.
Interestingly, Speed Darlington has a history of targeting Burna Boy’s mother, even once demanding an apology from her on behalf of her son.
