Nigerian Entertainment News: Teni Calls Out Peller Over Misconceptions About Women and Motherhood
Nigerian artist Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni Makanaki, recently confronted TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, aka Peller, over his inaccurate views on women’s reproductive health
During a live TikTok session, Peller questioned Teni about why she hadn’t had children yet and insisted that women lose the ability to conceive once they reach their 40s.
In response, the 32-year-old music star corrected his misinformation, stressing that modern medical advancements like egg freezing and IVF allow women to have children later in life.
Clearly unimpressed by Peller’s remarks, Teni challenged his level of education, stating that his comments displayed a lack of awareness on the subject. She encouraged him to educate himself on women’s health before making baseless statements, warning against spreading falsehoods.
The Money crooner firmly stated:
“Are you educated at all? Are you in tune with science? Do you know about freezing your eggs? You sound like an illiterate and I need to educate you. You don’t just open your mouth and talk about women stuff like that. There’s something called time, there’s something called not just having kids when you’re not ready. You have to have kids when you’re ready so you can spend time with them. It’s not just money, it’s not just to get a nanny for them to be at home. They have to feel loved so when I’m ready. Don’t worry about the 40 and 45-year-old women, there’s something called science. They can freeze their eggs, they can do IVF, go and read about it. You don’t just open your mouth and say rubbish. Be educated and learn about women, you were born by a woman, don’t just open your mouth and talk anyhow.”
Visibly stunned by Teni’s sharp response, the TikTok influencer sat speechless before finally asking if she had planned to call him out from the start.
