Popular Nigerian artist Speed Darlington, famous for his controversial persona, has finally unveiled his highly anticipated diss track after teasing fans for weeks
According to reports from Omo Anifowose Entertainment, Speed Darlington had previously disclosed the budget he was willing to invest in producing the diss track.
In the video accompanying the song, the Baby Oil hitmaker reflected on his time behind bars and threw a direct question at Long Face.
He spoke about being locked up but emerging with a chart-topping track, mentioning different detention centers where inmates are housed.
The visual for the song also featured a female pole dancer, which sparked reactions from fans. Many pointed out that she is a mother of two, with some commenting on her noticeable belly and speculating that she has had multiple children. This led to discussions about Speed Darlington’s choice for the video.
Over the years, diss tracks have been a staple in the Nigerian music industry, with various artists using them to call out their rivals. Recently, Portable took aim at Asake following his Grammy disappointment. In response, Asake clapped back with Military.
Other Nigerian artists like Eedris Abdulkareem, Mode 9, and 2Baba have also dropped diss tracks to address their adversaries.
