Nigerian Entertainment News: Sabinus Exposes Blogger Who Spread False Rumors to Damage His Image
Popular Nigerian skit maker Emmanuel Ejekwu, widely recognized as Oga Sabinus or Mr. Funny, has made public a conversation he had with a blogger who circulated misleading information about him
Recently, Sabinus found himself at the center of controversy following allegations of infidelity and domestic violence.
Reports accused him of mistreating his wife, Ciana Chapman, who recently graduated, and of allegedly bribing bloggers to tarnish her image.
In response, Sabinus shared a series of chat screenshots on his official Facebook page. In the messages, the blogger, who identified as a devoted fan, pleaded for forgiveness.
The blogger admitted that the rumors were merely a joke, which he later deleted upon realizing the gravity of his actions. He further disclosed that he is a father trying to raise funds to purchase a camera and drones for content creation.
Reacting to the situation, Sabinus criticized bloggers for recklessly damaging the reputations of public figures without factual proof.
“The rate at which bloggers condemn, smear, misrepresent, defame, slander, and blackmail people just to gain attention is extremely concerning. It’s time for this to stop!
Imagine Afrocania publishing falsehoods about me without video proof, photo evidence, or even a voice recording—yet people believe it instantly. If you’re going to accuse someone, at least provide evidence! We celebrities are human, not supernatural beings.
Now, look at what this same person is saying to me in private. To these bloggers, everything is just for fun,” he wrote.
Reactions from Fans:
@queen_mene1: “Exactly! Show evidence. Any blog that can’t back up claims with proof shouldn’t even be acknowledged.”
@eno_beee: “You wouldn’t be this calm if the accusations were true.”
@sure_marcus3: “Reveal the blog name! They dragged you publicly without hesitation, tarnishing your image. Give them the same energy.”
@gistmagnate: “You should’ve paid me to act as the blogger.”
@ugobeautydickson: “And all you could say to someone who publicly ruined your image was ‘hmm mehn’? That doesn’t make sense, sir.”
@b.u_services: “Why are you hiding the blog’s name? You’re not helping matters… Now people might assume it’s from Joro to Joro type of blogs.”
