On his X handle, Odumodublvck wrote:

“I am six years older than Rema, but when he talks, I pay full attention. There are many things he has told me that I have never heard from anyone else, not even my parents. And believe me, I’ve received a lot of advice. I repeat, being an OG is not about age.”

Odumodublvck and Shallipopi were the sole artists featured on Rema’s sophomore album ‘He Is,’ released on Thursday. Odumodublvck appeared on the track ‘War Machine.’

Patoranking Shares His Journey to Stardom

In other Nigerian entertainment news, reggae dancehall artist Patoranking, born Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, recently shared his arduous journey to success. At an event where he was honored as the UNDP Goodwill Africa Ambassador for Youth Innovation, Enterprise, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Patoranking reflected on his humble beginnings.

He recounted selling goods on the streets of Lagos alongside his father to support their family. Growing up in the impoverished neighborhood of Ebute Metta, Lagos, Patoranking faced numerous challenges. Nonetheless, he remained steadfast in pursuing his goals and eventually triumphed in his music career.

Patoranking discussed these personal experiences during the inauguration of the Timbuktoo Fintech Hub in Lagos, a United Nations Development Program initiative aimed at fostering technology and entrepreneurship in Africa. He said, “I hawked on the streets of Lagos with my father. Many years ago, I used to sell on this street [Kings Way Road]. It was a bustling spot for trade.”

He continued, “Years later, I have become the person I always aspired to be. Driving down this road today brought back emotional memories because I saw myself [on this road].”
