Nigerian music stars Portable and Speed Darlington are gearing up to settle their long-running feud in an explosive celebrity boxing match

The much-anticipated face-off is set to take place on April 18 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, promising an electrifying spectacle for fans.

Their dispute started when Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his upcoming concert, offering him ₦500,000 as payment. However, Portable turned down the offer, ridiculing Darlington for being financially unstable and insisting that his booking fee stands at ₦20 million.

Rather than engaging in verbal spats, the two controversial artists will now take their grudge to the boxing ring. Excited fans are looking forward to what is expected to be a thrilling battle.

“You are inviting me to a show, and you don’t have money. You are using my name to promote your show. I charge N20 million, ask around,” Portable said.

“… You’re offering me N500k, for what? I don’t want to be friends with poor people. I don’t know his that poor.”

“You’re offering me ₦500k? For what? I don’t associate with broke people. I don’t even know him like that,”

he added.

In reaction, Speed Darlington expressed regret over reaching out to Portable, accusing him of disrespecting his mother.

“Why did I bring myself low? Why did I contact Portable? I regret it because why the insults? Why did my mother get into the discussion?” he said.

Portable, however, responded by challenging Darlington to a boxing match, vowing to defeat him just as he had done against actor Charles Okocha in a previous fight.

“I want to fight you. You should both be put in a boxing ring. I will defeat you like I defeated Okocha,” he bragged.

Due to overwhelming public interest, the match was arranged by Mygamerush, who made the announcement via Instagram.
