This development sparked widespread debate online, prompting Omoni Oboli to address the matter through her Instagram account.

In a social media update, the filmmaker disclosed that “A Different Type of Love” had been taken down from YouTube due to allegations of striking similarities with another film.

She clarified that she had enlisted the services of a scriptwriter for the project and assured her followers that an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the facts.

In her own words:

“Dear friends,

You might be wondering why our latest movie isn’t available on the channel anymore. We’ve received feedback that it bears a remarkable resemblance to another film on YouTube. As a platform dedicated to original content, we’ve chosen to withdraw the movie while we delve into the matter. We’re collaborating with the scriptwriter to understand exactly what transpired and are liaising with our legal team for resolution. Thank you for your understanding and unwavering support. Always remember, I cherish you ❤️.”
