Nigerian Entertainment News: Mohbad’s Private Autopsy Results Spark Reactions
The late Nigerian music star, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has once again captured public attention. Recent updates reveal that his family has finalized a private autopsy and toxicology test to uncover the mystery behind his death.
Mohbad tragically passed away in 2023, sparking widespread protests across Nigeria, both online and offline, as fans and concerned citizens demanded accountability and justice.
His death was surrounded by controversy, leading to tension within his family. Notably, his father, Joseph Aloba, has requested a DNA test for Mohbad’s son, Liam, who is in the care of his widow, Wunmi.
Following the incident, Naira Marley, Mohbad’s former record label boss at Marlian Music, and close associate Sam Larry were apprehended but later released. However, questions surrounding the singer’s death remain unanswered.
According to PUNCH Metro, the private autopsy results to determine Mohbad’s cause of death have been available since December. In June 2024, a Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, approved the family’s request for an independent autopsy and toxicology examination.
The family pursued this private investigation due to suspicions about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s passing. Their decision was prompted by the initial autopsy conducted by the Lagos State Government, which they considered inconclusive and subsequently rejected.
The unresolved nature of Mohbad’s death continues to be a major focus in Nigerian Entertainment News.
