Nigerian Entertainment News: Jada Pinkett-Smith Emphatically Denies any Intention of Divorcing Will Smith
The prominent Nigerian entertainment figure, Jada Pinkett-Smith, an American actress, affirms that she and her estranged spouse Will Smith are actively striving to rekindle their ‘life partnership’.
During a recent conversation on The Morning Show, Pinkett-Smith emphasized that despite their seven-year separation, they are diligently working on rejuvenating their connection.
When questioned about the possibility of divorce, she emphasized that neither in legal documentation nor in theory is divorce in the picture.
She stated,
“There is no ‘finding another great love’ and I think that’s the point. We are in a place now that we are in a deep healing space. And we are really concentrating on healing the relationship between us. There is no divorce on paper, no divorce in theory. We are working very hard at bringing our relationship together back to a life partnership.”
When asked about the likelihood of them residing under the same roof again, the actress acknowledged that it was a possibility. She further revealed that prior to marrying the A-list actor, they had an understanding to accept each other as they truly are.
“I came into the marriage with very specific ideas that were blocks for me to see Will as he is, he can’t be this perfect idealised husband. I have to be able to accept him for the human he is and he has to accept me for the human I am. And we want to love each other there,” expressed Pinkett-Smith.
During her media appearances in anticipation of her memoir, “Worthy,” she has been candid about various aspects of her life, including her relationship and marriage to Smith, her family, her struggle with alopecia, and her connection with the late Tupac Shakur.
Each revelation has sparked considerable controversy on social media. It all started when she disclosed that she and Smith had been separated since 2016, implying that they were not together when he defended her against Chris Rock’s Oscars incident.
The situation escalated when she expressed her astonishment that Smith referred to her as his wife during the event, considering their separation.
In another interview, she revealed that Chris Rock had asked her out on a date, presuming she and Smith were headed for divorce.
A previously surfaced clip featured Pinkett-Smith admitting she had reservations about getting married in 1997 when they tied the knot at Cloisters Castle in Baltimore, Maryland. On her Red Table Talk show, she recounted the pressure she felt from her mother to marry Smith because of her pregnancy.
Nonetheless, Smith remains undeterred by the memoir and recent interviews, asserting that the book has provided him with new perspectives.
