Questioning the true motives of award organizers and the criteria for identifying noteworthy songs, CKay voiced his perplexity.
Despite “Love Nwantiti” achieving six-time platinum status, CKay found it peculiar that the song hadn’t received any recognition in Nigeria.
Moreover, the singer revealed that his intellectual property had been unlawfully downloaded and sampled globally, resulting in substantial impacts and streams.
Considering his songs as expressions of devotion to humanity, CKay values the love shown by his listeners as the ultimate reward.
For him, nomination or victory in awards holds little significance.
