Nigerian Entertainment News: I Am a Bigger Actor Than Zubby Michael – Timini Egbuson
Timini Egbuson, a renowned figure in the Nigerian film scene, has expressed his belief in his greater prominence as an actor compared to his colleague Zubby Michael
During a recent conversation on Cool FM, Egbuson, aged 36, articulated that he possesses a greater number of hit films than Zubby.
In the premiere installment of the original reality series on Prime Video, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa,’ the pair engaged in a heated debate over their standing as the finest actor in Africa.
While exchanging presents with other participants of the program, Egbuson boasted about his stature as the premier actor from Africa, provoking a response from Michael.
Michael retorted by suggesting he could outmatch Timini financially, sparking significant backlash on social media.
Timini stands as one of the leading figures in Nollywood, recognized for his notable roles in blockbuster productions such as ‘A tribe called Judah,’ Tinsel, Breaded life, Hey you, superstar, among others.
In his recent dialogue, Timini emphasized his ongoing relevance and consistency within the film industry, presenting statistical evidence to support his claim.
Asserting his extensive portfolio of box office successes, he confidently declared himself the foremost actor in the Nigerian entertainment sphere.
In his words, “If you watch the show right, I was not talking about Zubby, I consider myself the biggest actor every day. It was not about Zubby, I’m the biggest actor in Africa”.
“Statistically speaking, in terms of quality of movies that we shoot, the range of movies that we shoot, the number of movies that we shot, the box office movies, popularity among industry peers, years of relevant and years of consistency, there is no way Zubby will score higher than me”.
