Nigerian Entertainment News: Heartbreaking Update on the Tragic Passing of Patoranking’s Sister and Her Husband
A recent update has emerged concerning the devastating loss of Chioma, the sister of Nigerian music star Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, popularly known as Patoranking, and her husband, George O Buchi, who tragically lost their lives this week
Earlier reports by Omo Anifowose Entertainment brought attention to their untimely deaths, which left Nigerians deeply saddened. Instagram blogger Cutie Juls first shared the heartbreaking news, revealing that a gas explosion occurred at their residence.
In a recent twist, renowned film producer and media figure Seun Oloketuyi disclosed new information from Chioma’s close friend, Uchechi.
She narrated that on the tragic day, Chioma and George were upstairs, spending a peaceful afternoon with their three-year-old son, unaware of the impending danger.
George noticed a peculiar burning smell and went to investigate, with Chioma accompanying him, while their child slept soundly upstairs.
As they approached the door to uncover the source of the disturbing smell, catastrophe struck—a massive explosion engulfed their home.
George suffered severe burns and slipped into a coma, while Chioma, though injured, showed incredible resilience, managing to call friends and her father for help before neighbors rushed them to the hospital.
Despite her injuries, Uchechi explained that Chioma remained alert enough to make phone calls, offering a brief moment of hope in the midst of the crisis. Tragically, that hope was short-lived, as she succumbed to her injuries on August 30 at approximately 7:38 PM, leaving her loved ones devastated.
Further investigations revealed that the initial claims about the explosion’s cause were quickly ruled out. Seun Oloketuyi’s findings indicated that neither the inverter battery nor the gas cylinder was responsible, and the generator was located at a safe distance from the house.
