Nigerian Entertainment News: Deeone Apologizes to Nedu, Admits Lack of Evidence Against VeryDarkman
Popular reality TV personality Aderombi Adedayo Martins, widely recognized as Deeone, recently addressed his ongoing feud with social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, during an interview with Television Continental
According to journalist Omo Anifowose, Deeone initially claimed to possess proof regarding allegations about VeryDarkMan’s personal life.
In a video clip from his conversation, the former Big Brother Naija housemate disclosed that he orchestrated the entire situation that unfolded on the Honest Bunch Podcast.
He admitted that the plan was his own doing and that media personality Nedu was unaware of the scheme. Deeone confessed to using Nedu as a tool to go after VDM.
The comedian explained that had he made the same claims on TikTok, the audience might not have taken him seriously. He sought a more credible platform, which led to his choice of the podcast to expose VDM.
However, Deeone later retracted his previous stance, stating that he has no solid proof against VeryDarkMan. Instead, he revealed that he has been monitoring him for nearly 18 months. He jokingly suggested that VDM himself is the evidence, referring to past statements where the activist allegedly admitted to certain claims.
Regarding Nedu, Deeone expressed deep regret, apologizing for any unintended consequences. He admitted he was unaware that Nedu’s involvement in the controversy would result in him losing his position as the podcast host. Deeone confessed to feeling guilty upon realizing the impact of his actions.
Interestingly, there was a time when Deeone and VeryDarkMan were on good terms. Deeone had even encouraged his supporters to rally behind VDM when the activist revealed that his NGO’s account had been hacked and funds had been stolen.
