Nigerian Entertainment News: Burna Boy Ventures into Filmmaking, Poised to Produce His First Film
Burna Boy, the acclaimed Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, has broadened his endeavors by stepping into the movie industry as an executive producer
His first project, titled “3 Cold Dishes,” is an exciting film he is co-producing with Ifind, Alma Productions, Asurf Films, Martian Network, and Black Mic Mac.
This production collaboration aims to highlight the extraordinary talent emerging from Africa and the Middle East.
Burna Boy will manage the film’s production through his own company, Spaceship Films, which he founded in 2015 with his mother, Bose Ogulu.
The film is being directed by Asurf Oluseyi, who earned the esteemed Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Short Film in 2016 with “A Day with Death.”
Oluseyi has described “3 Cold Dishes” as a powerful narrative that showcases the fortitude and resilience of its characters, promising a unique African cinematic experience.
The movie features an outstanding lineup of leading Nollywood actors, including Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua.
Additionally, it includes talented performers from Ivory Coast and Senegal, further enhancing the film’s diverse cast.
