Ayra Starr, a gifted vocalist, has reached a notable milestone in the music industry

She has become the first Nigerian female artist to feature on the prestigious U.S. Billboard 200 Album chart.

This extraordinary accomplishment was achieved through the success of her sophomore studio album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’, which debuted at an impressive number 195 on the chart on Monday.

Ayra Starr’s success cements her role as a pioneer in the Nigerian music scene, creating a path for future generations of female artists to follow.

Her album not only made history on the U.S. Billboard chart but also debuted at No. 80 on the UK Official Album chart and No. 72 on the French Album chart.

Although, Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” remains the highest-charting Nigerian album in the US, reaching No. 14. “Love, Damini” is also the first Nigerian album to reach No. 1 on the UK album chart.
