Nigerian Entertainment News: AGN Head Officially Confirms Demise of Junior Pope, & Three Other Individuals
The Chief of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has substantiated the passing of Nollywood star Junior Pope, just hours after refuting reports of his demise
The performer and several companions encountered a tragic boat mishap close to Asaba, triggering an overflow of sentiments upon the disclosure.
While there was speculation regarding Junior Pope’s submersion, Emeka Rollas initially asserted, in a now-deleted statement, that the actor’s condition was stable.
Nevertheless, in a subsequent announcement, the AGN leader expressed regret for any misinformation and confirmed the actor’s death, along with three others who are presently missing.
As per Emeka Rollas, his initial declaration was spurred by excitement upon observing movements in Junior Pope’s extremities.
He further conveyed that Junior Pope was rushed to two medical facilities in Asaba, where resuscitation efforts were undertaken, albeit unsuccessfully.
In his words;
“Its so so sad that our joy was short-lived. My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers. Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail. God knows the best. We finally lost him. Mr Friday corpse has been identified but three other corpses are yet to be found.”
