Nigerian Entertainment News: Association of Movie Producer’s Revoke Adanma Luke’s License, Commences Investigation on Junior Pope’s Death
The Association of Movie Producers (AMP) has declared an immediate suspension of Adanma Luke
Recalling that Adanma Luke is the producer of the forthcoming film in which the deceased actor Junior Pope was set to appear but tragically perished in a boating mishap.
Pope, along with four others, passed away on April 10 following his plunge into the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state while en route to a film set.
In a statement released by its national leader Queen Blessing Ebigieson on Monday, AMP announced the formation of a nine-member panel to scrutinize the circumstances surrounding Junior Pope’s and others’ demise.
The statement also added that Adanma has been advised to suspend all work,
“pending on the submission of the investigations report and the final decision is taken.”
AMP also sympathised with the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the boat mishap.
The statement read in part:
“Following this tragic incident, AMP has set up a nine-man committee to investigate all activities that led to the death of these practitioners on the set of the movie, Another side of Life!
“Meanwhile, the producer, Adamma Luke, is hereby advised to suspend all work pending on the submission of the investigations report, and the final decision is taken.
“As we mourn our fellow filmmakers, we ask for calm from all sectors, stakeholders, and the public.”
