Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has described his seven years in office as “tough” and says he’s eager to move on.
Buhari make the remarks during a meeting with in Katsina State with members of his APC party. He added that despite having access to less funds than the previous administration, his government had made progress in a number of areas, including infrastructure. He also expressed his anger with the university lecturers’ ongoing strike, which he claimed will have long-term effects on families, the education system, and the nation’s future growth.
According to him,
“By this time next year, I would have made the most out of the two terms, and the remaining months I will do my best.
I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough. I am grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices we have been making. I wish the person who is coming after me the very best.”
