Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has confirmed the two players that would miss the Champions League tie against Salzburg.
Graham Potter has confirmed that two of Chelsea’s first-team starters, would be missing out on the Champions League fixture against Salzburg on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Stamford Bridge.
The champions league fixture would be the first game under the potter-led team. In his press conference ahead of the game, the new coach revealed:
Edouard Mendy will miss the game, and so will N’Golo Kante. Both of them are progressing well but the game comes too soon. He [Mendy] has responded well but his knee has been bothering him for a bit. It might not be too long but at the moment he is not available.
I am looking forward to getting to know them better, I can only worry about things I can control.’
