Fave releases new song ‘Belong to you’

Afrobeat star Fave has released a new single titled Belong to You.

Nigerian singer Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere also known as Fave has released a new track titled ‘Belong to You’. The melodic artist announced via social media that her new single would be released on January 25th, 2023. She shared a snippet of the new song with the caption saying “My rnb drill record
‘BELONG TO YOU’ 25/01/2024 10pm”.

Known for her soulful and melodic vocal range, Fave has once again enchanted the audience. The song emanates a romantic and soulful vibe, skillfully intertwining Fave’s harmonious voice with an infectious beat.

The soulful artist had a rough beginning to the new year. Fave conveyed her disappointment when Davido performed their collaborative hit, Kante, at the 2023 Greater Lagos Fiesta without her participation. Davido, one of the featured performers, entertained the audience with a mix of his popular songs, including Over Dem, and Feel, and included Kante, a track from his Timeless album featuring Fave.

Taking to her social media platform, Fave expressed her letdown, disclosing that she was present backstage with Davido but was not invited to join him for their collaborative song. She was surprised by Davido’s choice to perform a modified version of Kante without her verse.

Despite the disappointment, Fave maintained a positive perspective, mentioning that sharing the stage with Davido would have been an excellent way to kick off her year.
