DMW presents Morravey’s debut EP ‘RAVI’

Morravey, the extraordinary talent whose captivating vocals initially enchanted listeners on Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless, has unveiled her much-awaited EP, RAVI. This five-track EP spans across various genres, including R&B, Pop, Afrobeats, and Dance, marking Morravey’s momentous debut as a solo artist.

Hailing from the vibrant city of Port Harcourt, Morravey emerged as a musical powerhouse, drawing inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of her hometown. Port Harcourt, often referred to as “the Garden City,” provided the fertile ground for Morravey’s passion for music and creativity to flourish. Her songs resonate with the city’s spirit of resilience, love, and celebration.

The title of Morravey’s EP, RAVI, meaning sunlight, beautifully encapsulates the radiant energy she exudes through her music. Each track on the EP showcases her versatility and musical prowess, captivating listeners with its diverse sounds and heartfelt lyrics.

The journey through RAVI begins with What Is Love, a soul-stirring exploration of the multifaceted nature of love. Morravey’s soulful voice effortlessly intertwines with Afro R&B melodies, painting an intimate picture of yearning and uncertainty, resonating deeply with listeners.

Next in line is High Again, a euphoric celebration of love, self-discovery, and exuberance. The track captures the electrifying thrill of youth and the blissful feeling of being on cloud nine, inviting listeners to revel in the sheer joy of the moment.

Condo, the third track, is a vibrant tribute to Morravey’s hometown, Port Harcourt. She skillfully incorporates the city’s colloquial language into the song, establishing a connection between the listener and the authentic voice of her people. The EP culminates with Magician, featuring the Afrobeats heavyweight, Davido. The afro-pop tune combines Morravey’s signature vocals with Davido’s distinctive raspy voice against rhythmic beats, celebrating the resilience and independence of young women.
