Social media commentator, Martins Otse, widely recognized as VeryDarkman (VDM), has turned down the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria’s (PFN) request for a truce with gospel artist Mercy Chinwo

The dispute originated when VDM weighed in on the ongoing legal dispute between Chinwo and her former manager, EeZee Tee, drawing backlash for his remarks.

Following his comments, Chinwo’s legal representatives initiated a defamation lawsuit against VDM, demanding N1.1 billion in compensation.

Despite a Nigerian court issuing an arrest warrant, VDM—who is presently in China—remains undeterred.

The PFN stepped in, advocating for a peaceful resolution between both parties, but VDM has dismissed the suggestion.

“I want the court process to go on, I don’t want to reconcile with anybody. It is going to expose oppressors and the judiciary,”

VDM said in a recently shared video.

The PFN had warned against actions that could further tarnish the reputation of the church, but VDM remains steadfast in his stance.
