Award-winning Afrobeats star and Grammy-nominated artist, Divine Ikubor, popularly recognized as Rema, has addressed some of the most bizarre speculations about him circulating online

During a recent discussion with Rolling Stone, Rema disclosed that he has come across wild allegations linking him to the Illuminati, devil worship, and even claims of drinking blood.

Expressing his dismay over how quickly people believe false narratives, he noted that such misinformation has cost him some supporters.

“There have been random stories about me being Illuminati, worshipping the devil, and drinking blood. I definitely lose some fans who believe anything they see,” 

he said.

The Calm Down crooner also shed light on the deep meaning behind the pendants he wears, revealing that they serve as a tribute to his late father and brother.

“That period was a dark time in my life, and I always wear this chain as a reminder,” he said. “No matter how crazy or amazing things get, I want to remember where I came from and the struggles I’ve overcome.”

Rema also made his stance on parenting clear, stating that he has no intention of having children outside of wedlock. While he respects individual choices, he emphasized his commitment to being intentional with his decisions.
